Billroy’s Comedians 1939 Photo Truck Trailer Luana Savagettes 5.5 x 3.5

This 1939 photograph documents a Billroy’s Comedians touring truck and trailer, advertising Luana and Her Six Savagettes with the featured act Dance Savage during the late Depression-era road show circuit.

Traveling comedy troupes and variety acts relied on branded transport vehicles to promote performances across small towns and rural venues. The image shows a vintage delivery-style truck attached to a large trailer boldly painted with Billroy’s Comedians lettering, along with performer billing across the side panel. Background utility poles and open roadside terrain situate the troupe within a mobile exhibition landscape typical of late 1930s itinerant entertainment.

Measuring 5.5 x 3.5 inches, the photograph offers strong appeal for collectors of circus and vaudeville history, traveling comedy shows, and prewar American roadside culture.
